Claire works with clients to assess and mitigate ESG-related due diligence and reporting risks and keep abreast of voluntary and mandatory ESG developments worldwide.

Claire focuses her practice on sustainability-related legal and commercial risk management, including strategies for mitigating risks arising from climate and human rights-related supply chain due diligence and disclosure laws, regulations, and policies. She helps clients develop strategies to manage risk, enhance resilience, and develop opportunities using risk assessments, supply chain mapping, and engagement with existing and potential suppliers and stakeholders, and advises on updating procurement policies and supplier contracts and reviewing sustainability-related claims.

Claire advises on ESG-related corporate disclosures, including climate-related financial risk disclosures, the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, the California Transparency in Supply Chain Act, and the UK Modern Slavery Act. She also assists in obtaining U.S. government funding for clients under various programs, including the CHIPS Act and the Inflation Reduction Act.

Claire also has experience in counseling on international trade and investment issues arising under bilateral and multilateral treaties and representing clients in dispute settlement. She has advised sovereign and private clients in disputes arising under the World Trade Organization (WTO) agreements and other trade and investment agreements, covering a range of sectors and industries.
