Professional Biography

Charlie Blanchard focuses his practice on government contract law, construction litigation, and alternative dispute resolution. He litigates construction disputes for general contractors, subcontractors, and owners for public and private projects. He also represents clients in pre- and post-award bid protests and procurement regulatory compliance. He drafts substantive motions, protests, discovery, and briefs before the Boards of Contract Appeals, Court of Federal Claims, GAO, federal district courts, and state courts, including the Virginia Supreme Court. Before joining Bradley, Charlie was a construction litigation and government contracts attorney at another nationally recognized construction firm.

While in law school, Charlie clerked with the U.S. Civilian Board of Contract Appeals. He gained valuable experience supporting CBCA judges with research and writing in contract disputes between contractors and federal agencies. His research into alternative dispute resolution trends and participation in mediation and moot court competitions before CBCA judges provide him with additional skills that he utilizes in the courtroom.

Prior to law school, Charlie worked as a territory sales manager for a distribution company, where he serviced over 120 accounts under contracts held by five operating companies, analyzed market trends, and advised local business owners on decisions involving pricing, inventory, and merchandising.
