Beth Darby Adamek

Professional Biography

Beth is an associate in the Austin office of Ogletree Deakins. She represents employers of all sizes in state and federal court litigation and administrative proceedings.

Prior to joining Ogletree, Beth worked at Thompson & Horton, LLP where she represented institutions of higher education on matters related to Title IX. Beth also has experience working as the Director for Investigations and Policy at the University of Texas at Austin, where she addressed all allegations of employment discrimination and harassment, as well as issues related to Title IX, Title VI, FMLA, ADA, whistleblower retaliation, and other civil rights laws. She also has experience working as an attorney for the Texas Tech University System where she investigated and resolved complaints of discrimination and harassment as well as created each institution’s affirmative action plans. Throughout her career, Beth has provided trainings on Title IX, EEO, and inclusion initiatives and regularly counseled executive leadership and HR managers in handling a range of difficult employment issues.

While attending Texas Tech University School of Law, Beth also attended Texas Tech University Rawls College of Business and earned her MBA. During that time, Beth also interned for the Texas Tech University System Office of General Counsel and was a member of the Texas Tech Administrative Law Journal. Prior to attending law school, Beth attended college at Texas A&M University and began a pool management company, Alpha Guards, LLC.

Beth’s life outside of work includes spending time with her husband and pets as well as volunteering for Alpha Delta Pi as an International Officer, for the Junior League of Austin, and for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
