Ben Smith focuses on government contracts and assisting government contractors in all aspects of the government procurement process. He is experienced with managing complex bid protest litigation situations and government contractor claims.
Prior to joining the firm, he served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Thompson M. Dietz at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims for two years, where he drafted and researched judicial opinions on topics including bid protests, government contracts, military pay law, and Federal Takings law.
Ben received his JD from the George Washington University School of Law with a concentration in Government Procurement. He received a BA in Political Science & International Affairs and History from Wake Forest University. During law school, Ben served as an intern in the Office of General Counsel for the D.C. Office of the Chief Financial Officer, the Arlington County Circuit Court, and the Department of Justice.
