Ariba Ahmad is an Intellectual Property associate with Foley & Lardner LLP in the firm’s Chicago office. Before joining Foley, Ariba worked as a judicial extern for Judge Lioi of the Northern District of Ohio, where she prepared bench memos, briefed motions for clerks, and conducted legal research. She was also a judicial extern for Judge Groves of the 8th District Court of Appeals. In addition to her litigation experience in federal court and state appellate court, she worked at an immigration clinic within her school. Ariba also worked as a Civil Procedure Honors Fellow and Business Associations Honors Fellow during law school.
She has a B.S. in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology and worked as a medical research assistant in a biochemical lab during her undergraduate studies. Prior to law school, Ariba worked for Cerner, gaining experience in the healthcare technology space. She is very familiar with electronic medical records and their related federal regulations.
During law school, Ariba worked as a summer associate at Foley.
