A member of the firm's Intellectual Property Department and Life Sciences practice group, Angela is instrumental in procuring IP rights in the U.S. and worldwide for client inventions.
Angela's practice includes preparing contractual agreements and opinions. She also performs IP due diligence in order to protect her client's interest during sales, mergers and acquisitions. In addition, Angela assists clients with procuring trademark and copyright registrations to protect their intellectual property rights.
Prior to her legal career, Angela worked as a biologist at global pharmaceutical company, Eli Lilly & Co. In 2007, she received the Lilly Chairman's Ovation Award for Global Leadership in Diversity. In 2010, she was awarded the Eli Lilly Law Alumni Scholarship.
Angela also has additional research experience in the molecular, cellular and craniofacial biology department at a Louisville area birth defects center. In her time as a biologist, Angela was a regular contributor to publications and presentations on topics related to genetic and biological research.
