Andrew Danson is a partner in the firm's London office. He is a commercial and regulatory lawyer and concentrates his practice on sports, gambling and broadcasting related matters. He has particular expertise in sports media rights, sponsorship, licensing and event-staging issues, gambling licensing and regulation, a broad range of gambling commercial matters (including white label, turnkey, software supply, affiliate and payment processing deals), and the distribution and exploitation of content over broadcast, telecoms and new media platforms.
The clients he advises include major national and international sports governing bodies and rights holders, leagues, teams, broadcasters, agencies and global sports brands, and a wide variety of listed and unlisted online gambling operators and software suppliers. He was also seconded to LOCOG, the organising committee for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
