Adriana Figueroa defends corporate clients in employment litigation and advises them on best practices. She represents clients in employment litigation matters in federal courts and administrative agencies, defending against claims brought pursuant to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act. She also helps counsel clients by drafting and reviewing employee handbooks and employment policies.
Previous Experience
A former federal court clerk, Adriana conducted legal research and prepared draft entries on legal matters that include the Fair Labor Standards Act, American with Disabilities Act and state wage and hour laws at different stages of litigation, among other areas, and she assisted in courtroom proceedings.
Adriana gained valuable experience through a judicial externship at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana and internship at the Indiana Court of Appeals. She also participated in the law school’s Health and Human Rights Clinic where she worked on employment matters.
