Women Who Wow Chris Fritsch

I am so excited to have my friend and industry colleague Chris Fritsch in the Women Who Wow series.

To me and many in the legal industry, Chris is THE authority for all things CRM and data quality related.

Chris works together with leading professional services firms across the country to help support their CRM and client intelligence efforts and maximize their return on investment.

She writes and speaks nationally on topics including client relationship management, business development, relationship intelligence, eMarketing and the use of technology to enhance profitability.

Why did you choose your profession?

Actually, I believe my profession chose me. I’ve always been open to what the universe may have in store for me, and it responded with the best job in the world. It’s so funny to think about how we all got to our current roles. I doubt any of us stood up in elementary school and said, “When I grow up, I want to be a legal marketing professional or business developer or CRM Success Consultant.” But here we are.

Do you have a mentor?

That’s where the universe stepped in. Tim Corcoran hired me while I was still in law school. He introduced me to so many great people and taught me so many things that ultimately helped me get to where I am today.

What do you love most about what you do?

I feel honored to get to work with so many smart, successful, wonderful clients and colleagues, many of whom have become my most cherished friends.

What is the best career advice you’ve ever received? / What advice would you give to women in your field?

When I was in law school, one of our career placement counselors told me that women too often undersell themselves and/or undermine their abilities by using apologies or qualifiers before speaking. Don’t do that.

How do you achieve work/life balance?

If you love what you do, finding balance doesn’t seem to be as much of an issue.

What do you think is the key for success in a role like yours?

I believe the key(s) to success in most professional roles are to listen more, talk less and never stop learning.
