As previously reported, the CDC shortened its guidelines for quarantine and isolation periods. On December 29, 2021, in response to the CDC’s new guidelines, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) issued a statement that Michigan will not immediately follow the shortened CDC guidance and will instead retain current quarantine and isolation guidelines until the CDC releases additional information.
