Michigan Retains Current Quarantine and Isolation Guidelines Despite CDC’s Shortened Guidelines
Friday, December 31, 2021

As previously reported, the CDC shortened its guidelines for quarantine and isolation periods. On December 29, 2021, in response to the CDC’s new guidelines, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) issued a statement that Michigan will not immediately follow the shortened CDC guidance and will instead retain current quarantine and isolation guidelines until the CDC releases additional information. Michigan employers should continue to follow the guidance set by the MDHHS for Michigan workforces. See links for current Michigan Quarantine and Isolation Guidance:

Companies engaged in business in other states should check for state specific guidance with the applicable public health department.
