NEW YORK CITY, NY / ACCESS Newswire / April 3, 2025 / ATLAS CPAs & Advisors PLLC, recently disclosed that it suffered a data breach that compromised the sensitive personal data of individuals. This data breach has led to concerns over the security of sensitive personal information entrusted to ATLAS.

WHAT'S THIS ABOUT?

On or around December 10, 2024, ATLAS CPAs & Advisors PLLC became aware of unauthorized activity on its information systems. Upon detection, ATLAS launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cyber security experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party attempted to access ATLAS's systems and may have obtained certain sensitive personal information. ATLAS conducted a comprehensive review of the impacted data to determine what information was compromised and identified affected individuals.

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal information may have been compromised: name, Social Security number, and financial information. On March 25, 2025, ATLAS filed a notice with the Attorney General of Massachusetts and began mailing notice letters to impacted individuals. Compensation may be available for those individuals who received notice that their personal information was compromised.
