In the United States, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the  Department of Justice (DOJ) regulate antitrust and trade-regulations laws. The CFIUS governs investments between two American companies, as well as US-based and international companies who contract in a purchase-sale agreement to determine fairness, and proper balance in negotiations between companies on the international level.
