It's time to save your place for the next installment of the SLW Life Sciences Webinar Series. In the December 10 episode, Dr. Ricardo Moran will discuss “Obviousness-type Double Patenting (ODP) - From In re Zickendraht to In re Cellect and Beyond.” This presentation will focus on laying a solid foundation for understanding ODP rejections, how they arise, how best to handle them, and what are the ramifications downstream (e.g., during litigation) of actions taken during prosecution.
Dr. Moran’s practice focuses on chemical and pharmaceutical intellectual property law, including pharmaceutical patent litigation; preparation and prosecution of patent applications; infringement, validity, patentability, and due diligence analyses and opinions; and counseling of clients. Ricardo earned his B.S. in chemistry from Allegheny College; his M.S. in organic chemistry from Emory University; his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, College Park; and his law degree from the American University Washington College of Law. After receiving his Ph.D., he worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the Pennsylvania State University.
Principal Nicholas Lanzatella, J.D., Ph.D., will moderate. We welcome you to spread the word to interested colleagues!
