Xiaomei Cai is an associate in the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice, where much of her work focuses on intellectual property disputes for clients across a variety of technological fields, including Hatch-Waxman litigation.
Xiaomei’s practice encompasses all facets of complex patent litigation, including discovery, claim construction and Markman hearings, trials, injunction proceedings and appeals, before federal courts, as well as regulatory proceedings such as inter partes review before the PTAB. Xiaomei combines scientific acumen with a keen understanding of the legal issues that surround bringing new technology products and innovative services to market.
Xiaomei has served as a judicial intern in the US District Court for the Southern District of Illinois, a summer intern with the US Department of Education, Office of Civil Rights, and a full-time employee in the genetic testing department of a cell and gene engineering company.
