Verity A. Van Tassel Richards

Professional Biography

Verity A. Van Tassel Richards focuses her practice on representing US and non-US financial services firms, broker-dealers, financial technology companies, blockchain projects and cryptocurrency funds. She counsels on a wide range of matters, including general corporate, regulatory and business questions. Verity works with transactional lawyers on structuring and negotiations when deals involve technology and financial services companies, and on blockchain token offerings, including so-called ICOs. She assists both financial services firms and vendors in negotiating technology agreements for all types of services and in considering the regulatory issues associated with such technologies. 

Verity is an adjunct law professor at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where she teaches a seminar on the law of nonprofit organizations. 

While in law school, Verity was an associate editor of the Cardozo Law Review. She served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Dickinson R. Debevoise of the US District Court for the District of New Jersey.
