Tom Anderton is a member of our Intellectual Property & Technology Practice and Life Sciences Industry Group. Tom assists domestic and international organizations and start-ups with intellectual property and transactional needs in the areas of biopharmaceuticals and medical devices.
Tom has experience in health care law, including cross-border transactions with companies in Europe and China. Tom has extensive experience in counseling on freedom to operate matters, infringement avoidance, strategic patenting and the development, structuring and monetization of US and international patent portfolios. Tom also has extensive experience in technology transactions, including licensing, research and development, manufacturing, distribution, service, finance and partnering agreements, as well as M&A and integrations. Formerly a General Counsel and Chief Patent Counsel, Tom was a part of the executive committee and has an inside perspective on issues faced by our clients and the calculus of client decision making.
