Stephanie is in the firm’s public law section and concentrates her practice on electricity regulation and transactions. She brings substantial expertise on all issues related to electric utility regulation and electricity purchasing. Stephanie has spent many years representing clients before the Public Utility Commission of Texas and the Texas Legislature on matters relating to electricity regulation. She represented a consortium of large electricity consumers and was deeply involved in the legislative and regulatory development of the competitive electricity market structure in Texas.
She now assists a wide variety of clients in understanding and transacting in competitive electricity markets. She has helped numerous public and private entities develop electricity purchasing strategies, including the negotiation of power supply agreements, development of cogeneration and alternative energy projects, organization of aggregated buying groups and creation of innovative options for customers to directly access wholesale power markets.
