Stephanie represents business clients and community associations. As a corporate attorney, she works with businesses, from established brick and mortars to online startups, on a wide range of legal matters such as mergers and acquisitions, formation of new business and investment entities, corporate governance, shareholder agreements, and operating agreements.

In her community associations practice, Stephanie assists planned communities and developer-controlled HOAs with issues related to formation, corporate governance, and transactional matters. Additionally, she advises community association boards and members on fiduciary duties, inspection rights, collection issues, and procedural requirements.

Stephanie started her career in the legal profession as a paralegal. In 2012, she graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law. Prior to joining Ward and Smith, she was an associate at the Forrest Firm in Durham.
