Sheela Ranganathan

Professional Biography

Sheela Ranganathan is an associate in the Corporate Practice Group in Sheppard Mullin's Washington, D.C. office and a member of the firm’s Healthcare Team.

Sheela Ranganathan advises healthcare clients on regulatory and antitrust matters. She is also a member of the firm’s Women in Healthcare Leadership Collaborative, whose goal is to promote the advancement of women in the healthcare industry.

Sheela received her J.D. with honors from the University of Texas School of Law, where she served as President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, co-founded the Texas Health Law Society, and was inducted to the Friar Society, the oldest honor society at the University of Texas at Austin. She also served as a Research Editor for the Texas International Law Journal, a Staff Editor for the Texas Journal on Civil Liberties & Civil Rights, and a Dean’s Fellow. Also during law school, Sheela was a research assistant for Professors Elizabeth Sepper, Michelle Deitch, Shavonne Henderson, and Kevin Haynes, and participated in the Supreme Court Clinic and the Capital Punishment Clinic where she assisted with post-conviction appeals and moots for oral arguments. She also interned with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, the ACLU Disability Rights Program, and Hartford HealthCare. Sheela received her B.S. in Healthcare Management and Policy from Georgetown University’s School of Nursing and Health Studies.
