Ryan’s practice focuses on patent litigation, primarily in the mechanical and electrical arts. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants in U.S. District Courts, in the U.S. International Trade Commission, and in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, in cases involving a wide range of technologies, particularly in the automotive and computer software industries.
Prior to attending law school, Ryan held a variety of engineering and management positions at successful early and middle-stage software startup companies, developing internet, electronic commerce, and enterprise software applications.
