Ryan J. Connell is a registered patent attorney practicing intellectual property law with an emphasis on chemical engineering, materials science, biotechnology, and organic chemistry. Ryan also has experience in a variety of mechanical and electro-mechanical related arts.
Ryan received his B.S. in biochemistry/molecular biology and his B.A. in chemistry from the University of Minnesota Duluth (2009) and his M.S. in organic chemistry from the University of Minnesota Duluth (2011). During graduate school, his research focused on the synthesis of alpha cyanocinnamate derivatives as monocarboxylate transporter-1 inhibitors. Ryan received his J.D. from the University of Minnesota (2014), magna cum laude. During law school, he served as the lead articles editor for the Minnesota Journal of Law, Science & Technology and interned for both the Bayfield County Circuit Court Judge and Bayfield County District Attorney in Wisconsin. Ryan is licensed to practice in Minnesota. He is an active volunteer attorney with the Minnesota Wills for Heroes Program.
In his free time Ryan enjoys nordic skiing, alpine skiing, running, playing tennis, golfing, and boating.
