Robert (Bob) Hogan is an associate in the Corporate and Securities Practice Group in the firm's San Diego office.
Areas of Practice
Bob’s practice focuses on corporate and regulatory matters with particular focus in the healthcare industry. He regularly works with management service organizations, group practices, independent physician associations, and medical staffs among others regarding reimbursement, licensure, vendor and provider contracts, corporate governance, compliance, and strategic transactions.
Bob has experience analyzing and assisting with the defense of provider relationships (including for fraud and abuse), creating and auditing health system corporate compliance programs, contesting Medicare payment suspensions, enrolling Medicare providers, and determining Medicare overpayments and refunds. Bob draws on these experiences in his transactions practice to help clients achieve their goals within this complex regulatory framework.
Before joining the firm, Bob began his legal career at another large law firm’s healthcare practice in Chicago, where his representation also included vendor contract negotiations on behalf of health systems and a group purchase organization.
Bob is also very fortunate for his opportunities to provide pro bono representation, including to a family from Central America seeking asylum based on gang-based threats and sexual assault, and to victims of domestic violence.
