Reid Barber is a member of the firm’s Patent Prosecution & Litigation group where he focuses on helping clients develop strategies that protect their intellectual property rights.
During law school, Reid was an intern for a medical device company based in upstate New York assisting their in-house counsel with portfolio management, invention mining, claim drafting, prosecution of patent applications, due diligence, and Trademark prosecution. Specifically, his experience in the medical device field has been with devices for vascular access, thrombus management, and oncology. Before attending law school, Reid was a design engineer for a manufacturing company designing and modelling parts for production as well as production part work holding, aided in optimization of CNC machine production, conducted failure analysis, and instituted preventative maintenance protocols.
