Phillip A. Baggett is an associate in the Houston, Texas, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. His practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counseling. He represents public and private employers in state and federal courts in a variety of employment law matters, including those involving wage and hour claims, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, and discrimination allegations.
In addition to his litigation practice, Phillip has extensive experience counseling employers and human resources professionals on workplace issues, including presentations to trade groups and large employers regarding new developments in the law and detecting and properly addressing potential workplace disputes prior to litigation.
During law school, Phillip served as managing editor of the Houston Journal of International Law and received several speaking and writing awards in moot court competitions, resulting in an induction to the Order of the Barristers. Phillip also served as a student attorney for the Immigration Clinic at the University of Houston Law Center and represented individuals before immigration courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
