Nikita B. Cotton is an associate in Cadwalader’s Financial Services Group. Nikita represents bank and non-bank financial institutions in a wide range of regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters, including advising clients on novel and complex financial products regulated by the SEC and CFTC.
Nikita received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where she served as Selections Editor for the Michigan Journal of Gender & Law and as a Research Assistant to Michael S. Barr, Dean of the Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan and former United States Assistant Secretary of the Treasury. She also spent a semester as an Honors Legal Intern in the Cyber Unit of the Securities & Exchange Commission. Nikita received her B.A. in Economics from New York University.
