Nicole M. Shaffer is a principal in the Orange County, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice is focused on employment litigation on behalf of management as well as advice and counsel on a wide array of employment law issues.
Nicole has litigated single and multi-plaintiff cases, in both state and federal courts and in arbitration, as well as before state administrative agencies, on virtually all aspects of employment law from wage and hour to harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination. She has also prevailed on motions to compel arbitration, and has handled many administrative complaints with the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Labor Commissioner. In addition to litigation, Nicole speaks on employment law topics and works with employers in preventative and educational counseling.
While attending law school, Nicole was a member of the Moot Court Honors Board. Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, she was an associate at a mid-sized insurance defense firm in the employment department where she gained valuable experience representing employers and working with insurance companies toward the resolution of workplace disputes.
