Michelle Juen is an associate in the Entertainment and Digital Media Practice Group in the firm's Century City office.
Areas of Practice
Ms. Juen’s practice focuses on transactional entertainment matters including development and production of television, theatrical and digital projects, guild and union issues, online advertising and privacy issues, etc. She has worked on behalf of various studios, independent producers, talent management firms/agencies, and distributors such as Amazon Studios, Gaumont, Technicolor, Entertainment One, Fremantle, Black Bear Pictures, Sidewinder Films, and more.
Prior to joining Sheppard Mullin, Ms. Juen worked in the business & legal affairs department at Warner Horizon Television (a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Television) where she handled shows such as “The Bachelor” and “The Voice.” She has also completed legal internships at DreamWorks Animation Television and NBCUniversal Brand Development.
Ms. Juen received her J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles and focused her studies on entertainment, graduating with a cum laude and Order of the Coif honors. During her law school career, she served as a note and comment editor on Loyola Law Review, Vice President of the St. Thomas More Honors Society and as a research assistant to Professor Jennifer R. Rothman and Professor Justin Hughes.
Prior to law school, Ms. Juen worked as an Account Executive at Sang Am & Associates, an advertising firm with an international presence in both South Korea and the U.S., utilizing her bilingual skills to communicate with clients as well as interpret and translate ad copies and marketing materials.
