In addition, Melodie served as a judicial law clerk for both Hon. Judge Barry L. Garber and Hon. Judge Marcia Cooke of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
While in law school, Melodie was a Marshall Brennan Fellow, a literacy project designed to mobilize talented upper-level law students to teach courses on constitutional law and juvenile justice in underserved public high schools. She also was a student-attorney with the Yale Law School’s International Human Rights Law and Immigration Law Clinics, where she represented asylum seekers before administrative agencies. In addition, she competed on the International Criminal Court Moot team as both a brief writer and as an oral advocate.
