Mary Elizabeth ("Beth") Taylor is Cadwalader's General Counsel. From 1991 to 2004, Beth was an associate and counsel in the firm's Litigation Department, concentrating in commercial litigation, libel and defamation law, and insurance insolvency. She also gained substantial experience in litigated insolvency and bankruptcy matters.
In 2004, Beth joined the litigation department at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. In 2007, she was named the bank's head of litigation for North America, and in 2009 she served as the Acting General Counsel for North America. After ABN's merger with the Royal Bank of Scotland, Beth joined the RBS litigation team and, ultimately, was appointed head of litigation for RBS Americas.
Beth received a B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame, her J.D. from Boston College Law School and an LLM from New York University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey.
