Mark D. Stuaan is a partner in the Indianapolis, Indiana office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP and is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department. He focuses his practice in white collar criminal defense in state and federal district courts.
Before joining Barnes & Thornburg, Mr. Stuaan was an assistant United States attorney for the Southern District of Indiana for more than 10 years. He was assigned to the Criminal Division in the United States attorney’s office in Indianapolis and handled a number of prosecutions and appeals. Prior to joining the U.S. attorney’s office in Indianapolis, Mr. Stuaan was an assistant United States attorney for the Central District of Illinois where he handled civil, criminal and appellate matters for approximately five years. In addition, he served as a law clerk to then Chief Judge Robert D. Morgan, United States District Court, Central District of Illinois, and worked as an associate for two law firms in central Illinois.
