Mark D. Lurie focuses his practice on employment law, including the defense of discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge and whistleblower claims, with a particular emphasis in pharmaceutical, medical device and health care. He has also counseled and defended corporate clients before state and federal trial and appellate courts, administrative agencies and arbitration proceedings on a broad spectrum of labor and employment issues. Mark has also conducted numerous internal investigations on behalf of corporations.
Prior to joining the firm, Mark was an associate and partner in the labor and employment departments of national firms. Mark was also Senior Employment Counsel, and later Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, for a large pharmaceutical company. Mark has also served as a subject matter expert for a national on-line training company, responsible for creating and reviewing numerous modules regarding employment and corporate compliance issues.
