Mark Allen has worked on a variety of cases involving antitrust, telecommunications, high technology, e-commerce and the Internet, pharmaceuticals and chemicals, securities, banking and finance, energy, and intellectual property. He has more than fifteen years of experience in economic consulting, with an emphasis on economic damages and general commercial litigation, including breach of contract and valuation. He has worked closely with academic experts and attorneys, providing case analyses as well as preparing expert reports and testimony.
Prior to joining Cornerstone Research, Mr. Allen was a vice president of Applied Economics Partners (AEP), a litigation consulting firm. AEP provided economic analysis and litigation consulting services across a range of practice areas. Before that he worked as a trial lawyer and litigator in Washington, DC, and Virginia. His case experience includes labor and employment, mass tort, and other commercial litigation in state and federal courts. He has participated in appellate practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, federal courts of appeals, and the Supreme Court of Virginia. Mr. Allen has lectured on topics including breach of contract, torts, and labor and employment litigation.
