Area of Emphasis
Lee Banse is an associate in the Firm’s Washington, D.C. office and a member of the Energy and Natural Resources Group and Pipeline and HazMat Safety practice. Mr. Banse represents clients in pipeline safety matters before the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), state agencies, and federal courts.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Banse practiced law in Texas, where he counseled clients throughout the energy sector on a wide range of matters including representing clients before the Texas Railroad Commission and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. He also provided guidance on regulatory compliance, representing clients in contested case hearings, and handling appeals of final administrative orders. Additionally, Mr. Banse represented oil and gas operators and mineral interest owners in litigation in courts throughout Texas.
Background
Mr. Banse earned a J.D., with honors, from Emory University School of Law in 2018. He was a member and coach of the Moot Court Society and served as a judicial extern in the chambers of Justice Harold Melton of the Georgia Supreme Court. Mr. Banse earned a B.S. from Georgetown University in 2009.
