Kevin Sholette is an associate in Cadwalader's Charlotte office. His practice is concentrated in the area of real estate finance and securitization. Kevin primarily represents financial institutions in connection with the origination of mortgage loans secured by commercial office buildings, retail properties, hotels, warehouses, multifamily housing, including multi-state, multi-property pooled transactions. He also has experience in the origination of mezzanine loans, the servicing and sale of mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, and participation interests, and repurchase facilities.
Prior to joining Cadwalader, Kevin was an associate at Paul Hastings LLP in that firm's real estate department where he represented borrowers, owners, investors, developers, managers, and lenders in the financing, purchase, sale, development, management, and securitization of commercial real estate based assets.
Kevin received his undergraduate degree from Ithaca College, and his J.D. from Cornell Law School, cum laude, where he was an editor of the Journal of Law and Public Policy and the Legal Information Institute's Supreme Court Bulletin. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the State of North Carolina.
