Julius Halstead is an Associate in Goulston & Storrs' Litigation group. Julius handles disputes involving a range of employment, professional liability, business, and real estate matters, often engaging in legal research, discovery, and motion practice. He also maintains a pro bono practice, frequently volunteering with the Civil Appeals Clinic organized by the Volunteer Lawyers Project, advising self-represented litigants on appellate issues, primarily in family and housing law.
Prior to re-joining Goulston & Storrs, Julius served as a law clerk to The Honorable Benita Y. Pearson of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
During law school, Julius completed a variety of internships. His experience includes working as an intern for a large international labor and employment law firm, Greater Boston Legal Services, and The Honorable O. Rogeriee Thompson of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. In addition to direct legal experience, Julius was a member of Northeastern’s Black Law Students Association Kemet Chapter’s Executive Board, served as a Teaching Assistant for both doctrinal and skills-based courses, and worked with a State Representative conducting climate policy research related to accelerating the Commonwealth’s renewable portfolio standard.
