João Pedro Paro is a Regulatory Consultant at Compliance & Risks and Lawyer enrolled in the Brazilian and Portuguese Bar Associations. Mr. Paro holds a post-graduate degree in Compliance and European Economic Criminal Law from the University of Coimbra (Portugal), a master degree in Law from University of São Paulo (USP) and two bachelors degrees: in Social Sciences from USP and in Law from FMU - Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas in Brazil. Mr. Paro has extensive experience in the area of legal compliance and has attended several courses and seminars in Latin America and Europe on the issue e.g., Compliance and Disruptive Technologies at International Anti-Corruption Academy, IACA, Austria; Summer School in Business and Legal Communication at University of Oxford, UK and the European Data Protection Law Summer Course at Academy of European Law, ERA, Germany. Finally, Mr. Paro was also an experienced academic researcher in International Law and Legal Compliance at USP in the International Relations Institute.
