Jessica is an Associate in the Litigation Department where she focuses her practice in the International Trade Compliance Practice Group, assisting companies of all sizes, from family-owned businesses to some of the world’s largest defense contractors, in matters involving U.S. export controls - the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) – and U.S. trade sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
Jessica’s experience includes leading investigations into potential export violations, drafting voluntary disclosures, managing corrective action planning and implementation, developing training programs and drafting export compliance policies and procedures tailored to the size, sophistication, and risk-based need of the organization. Jessica has also assisted companies with self-classification and commodity classification requests, registration requirements, and filings to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).
Jessica started her career in operations at Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, where she managed quality issues, conducted quality investigations, and prepared disclosures for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). She also worked in-house as a Senior International Trade Compliance Manager and Empowered Official, during which period she implemented an ITAR agreement management program, developed licensing strategies, and counseled various international programs on their export obligations under U.S. and foreign regulations. While at Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, Jessica was the recipient of multiple corporate awards for her outstanding contributions to Continuous Improvement and the International Trade Compliance organization.
