James has acted for both claimants and defendants in formal court proceedings (fast-track and multi-track) in the English High Court and County Court, as well as in alternative dispute resolution forums such as mediation and without prejudice settlement meetings.
James has acted for a wide range of clients but has a particular focus on both the higher education and manufacturing sectors. He also has experience in dealing with a wide range of disputes and, in particular, pursuing and defending shareholder disputes (e.g. unfair prejudice, derivative actions, calling and attending EGMs, and hostile board situations) and manufacturing disputes (e.g. supply chain and automation, etc.).
