Jackson Cherner provides guidance on a wide range of regulatory, policy, transactional, and information technology matters related to telecommunications. He counsels corporate clients, trade associations, critical infrastructure companies, and commercial providers on matters related to and before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), as well as state agencies.
Jackson assists clients with FCC compliance issues related to telecommunications service providers and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) regulations, state certification requirements, and other related obligations.
Prior to joining Keller and Heckman, Jackson served as a consultant at a global advocacy communications firm, where he gained an in-depth understanding of technology and data privacy regulations and supported global tech and retail clients with overarching public affairs strategies and stakeholder engagement.
While in law school, Jackson was a member of the William & Mary Bill of Rights Journal and participated in the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. He also completed an externship with the Federal Communication Commission’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (WTB).
