Hope Goldstein is a Shareholder in Vedder Price’s Dallas and New York offices and a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment group.
Ms. Goldstein’s practice covers a wide range of issues concerning employers, and she provides both traditional labor law and employment law advice and litigation services. She has extensive experience representing clients in matters involving compliance with the National Labor Relations Act, labor negotiations and arbitrations, mergers and acquisitions, labor crisis management and long-term workforce strategies. More specifically, she negotiates, drafts and implements collective bargaining agreements, extension agreements and shutdown agreements. In addition, Ms. Goldstein’s employment law practice includes defending employers against discrimination, harassment, retaliation and the full range of statutory and common law employment claims.
Ms. Goldstein defends state and federal wage and hour and child labor investigations, conducts wage and hour audits, and assists clients with all aspects of wage and hour compliance. She negotiates and prepares employment agreements, settlement agreements, separation and severance agreements, and noncompete, nondisclosure and confidentiality agreements; drafts employment applications, policies and handbooks; and counsels clients on federal and state employment law compliance on topics such as hiring, terminations, working conditions and leave issues related to the ADA, FMLA and state leave laws.
Ms. Goldstein advises clients on business start-up-related employment issues. She also negotiates merger and acquisition agreement provisions relevant to employment and employee benefits issues; advises clients on reductions in force, WARN and state plant closing law issues; and counsels clients on the development and implementation of the employment aspects of reorganization plans.
