Eduardo Arana joined OLIVARES in 2017. Currently, he is a member of the Litigation team, focusing his practice in administrative, civil and commercial matters. Noteworthy are proceedings before various administrative authorities, nullity claims before the Federal Court of Administrative Affairs (FCA) “Amparo” Lawsuits before District Courts and Federal Circuit Courts, mostly related to regulatory and intellectual property issues. He has participated in civil and commercial litigation, especially those focused on the claim of a compensation for damages caused by third parties infringing IP rights of our clients, as well as defending lawsuits of this nature.
Eduardo has also participated in administrative procedures of infringement, nullity and cancelation before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property and subsequent instances, related with the defense of trademarks and patents rights of our clients.
Likewise, he is involved in various lawsuits against the National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI), focused on defending and protecting the personal data and confidential information of our clients when the INAI, with its resolutions, orders to disclose confidential information.
