Damon Pitt’s practice covers a broad range of general litigation matters including class actions. While his primary focus is complex commercial litigation, he has extensive experience in products liability defense. Damon’s practice also focuses on health care litigation (payor-payee disputes), real estate disputes, ADA cases, and Prop. 65 matters. In addition to litigation, Damon provides labeling guidance to a diverse collection of global product-makers from established Fortune 500 companies to local start-ups.
Damon has extensive experience representing companies in commercial disputes including deal litigation, contract disputes, and collection matters. He represents manufacturers and distributors of products of all kinds, ranging from pet food to medical devices to electric vehicle charging equipment. Damon has also defended pharmaceutical cases, employment matters, and ADA compliance cases (including California cases under the Unruh Civil Rights Act), while regularly defending companies against Prop. 65 claims.
Prior to joining K&L Gates, Damon managed civil litigation matters in multiple disciplines including construction defect litigation, premises liability, professional liability, and habitability claims. In addition, Damon has an extensive background in personal injury defense, where he has successfully obtained summary judgment and dismissals in high-exposure matters.
