Christopher M. Bruno

Professional Biography

Christopher M. Bruno focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation matters (i.e., patent, trade secrets, and related contract disputes) in the US Supreme Court, the US International Trade Commission, the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, as well as various district courts around the country.

 

Chris practices in a broad range of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, immunology and computing systems. He has experience representing various pharmaceutical companies involving patents covering antibiotics, cancer-treatment drugs, sleep aid medications and diabetes-treatment drugs.

As part of his patent litigation work, Chris has participated on several trial teams, prepared expert witnesses for trial and deposition, deposed company executives, developed and implemented discovery and litigation strategies, and drafted numerous dispositive motions. At the appellate level, Chris has argued in three courts of appeal and has served on teams submitting briefs to the Federal Circuit and the Supreme Court. Chris also has drafted significant critical motions in a variety of substantive areas, including employment, defamation law and complex commercial litigation law.

Chris served as law clerk to the Hon. Todd M. Hughes for the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the Hon. Gail J. Standish for the US District Court for the Central District of California.

During law school, Chris served a Notes Editor on the George Washington Law Review, a member of the Moot Court Board, and a representative of the law school in the George Washington University Student Association.
