Austin Bersinger combines his disciplined military background and deep industry experience to provide his clients with a unique, personalized approach regarding insurance coverage and risk management matters. Having spent years learning how insurance companies think and what drives their decisions, Austin knows how to efficaciously litigate on his clients' behalf.
Austin represents clients faced with virtually all types of insurance recovery issues, including coverage denials, claim presentation, bad faith matters, and related appeals, as well as complex business disputes. He also assists in claim presentations after loss and coverage issues at the trial and appellate levels and does a significant amount of insurance counseling and policy review.
Post-graduation, Austin served as an active duty officer in the U.S. Air Force. He cut his teeth trying cases as a criminal prosecutor and as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Alabama. His experience in all these roles equipped him with leadership and management skills that are of the utmost benefit to his clients.
After fulfilling his military commitment, Austin began his civil litigation practice representing domestic insurance companies as well as insurers in the Lloyd’s market in coverage disputes across the United States.
He has been published nationally and spoken all over the country, sharing his insight on a variety of insurance coverage topics, and has served as a contributor and editor for the preeminent authority on insurance coverage in Georgia, Georgia Property and Liability Insurance Law.
