Andrew Murphy litigates employment cases throughout the country, defending employers in class and collective actions, including cases of nationwide scope.
Employment Litigation
Andrew focuses on defending companies in class and collective action litigation. He has particular expertise and experience in Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) litigation, matters involving alleged independent contractor misclassification, and cases involving joint employment and agency liability claims. Andrew has served as lead counsel in class action cases involving tens of thousands of putative class members.
Broad Litigation Experience
Andrew has also litigated class and other complex cases involving claims for breach of contract, fraud, violations of RICO, franchise law, antitrust law and environmental contamination.
Advancing the Law
Andrew has a passion for the development of the law. He has served as an adjunct professor at two law schools, is a frequent speaker at CLEs and other events, and regularly publishes articles on legal developments of national significance
