Professional Biography

Alexis Cherry is an associate in the Labor and Employment Practice Group in the firm's San Francisco office. 

Areas of Practice

Alexis’ practice focuses on employment litigation, where she represents employers in a range of civil lawsuits in state and federal courts. She represents employers against claims including harassment, retaliation, discrimination, and wrongful termination. Alexis also defends employers against individual wage and hour claims, PAGA representative actions, and class actions.

While in law school, Alexis served as Co-Chair of the UC Law SF (formerly UC Hastings) National Moot Court Appellate Team. She competed in seven competitions where she was a National Champion, a National Finalist, won three brief awards, and won two oral argument awards. Alexis also served as Executive Production Editor for the UC Law SF Journal on Gender & Justice where she published her article, A Good “IDEA” With No Clear Plan: The Lack of Uniformity in Evaluating Compliance with the IDEA’S Least Restrictive Environment Provision Has Led to Arbitrary Segregation of Children with Disabilities Across the United States. At UC Law SF, Alexis was also a Legal Research & Writing Teaching Assistant for two years, a founding member of the Disability Rights Association, and a member of the Health Law & Policy Society.
