Aidan coordinates the delivery of Golconda’s services to clients and their professional advisors, using his expertise to enable clients to understand the economics and qualitative considerations for the plan designs, financial products, and administrative processes that should be considered in their specific intergenerational wealth planning circumstance. Aidan is uniquely positioned as the only professional in the U.S. with firsthand experience in the development of a successful Private Placement Life Insurance (PPLI) and Private Placement Annuity (PPA) investment platform at a major financial institution.
Prior to joining Golconda, Aidan served as a Managing Director at Cresset Capital, a prominent multi-family office and Registered Investment Advisor managing $55 billion in client assets. In this role, Aidan was instrumental in positioning Cresset Capital as a national leader in PPLI and PPA investment account management. He launched strategic initiatives to guide institutions and families through the process of making allocations to PPLI and PPA Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) and Insurance Dedicated Funds (IDFs) while supporting over 140 client advisors across the nation. His efforts to encourage the integration of life insurance and annuity planning strategies and to promote cross-divisional collaboration significantly enhanced Cresset Capital’s operational synergies and had a meaningful impact on client acquisition and retention.
Aidan started his career at WealthPoint in Denver, where he began to develop his expertise with both traditional life insurance and PPLI and PPA Investment Accounts, and became the Director of Private Placement Services.
Aidan’s thought leadership in multi-generational wealth planning has earned him national recognition. He is a sought-after speaker and the author of PPLI and PPA: An Advisor’s Guide, widely regarded as the preeminent white paper for wealth management professionals who are seeking an understanding of the technical aspects of PPLI and PPA Investment Accounts and their most effective use cases.
Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Aidan moved to Colorado in 2012. He holds the CFP®, CLU®, and ChFC® designations and earned his Bachelor of Business Science degree, with distinction, from the National University of Ireland.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Aidan is a dedicated fitness enthusiast, indie rock fan, and published children’s book author. He believes his greatest achievement is being a devoted husband to Kelly and a proud father to Annie Rose and Hugh.
