This report provides a snapshot of the U.S. Executive Branch priorities via daily schedules and the prior day’s press releases.
Note: After 15 votes over four days, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-California) secured Republican support in the early hours of Saturday morning to serve as the next Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. Shortly thereafter, the White House released a statement congratulating Speaker McCarthy.
POTUS’ Schedule*
The President is in Delaware for Saturday, with no public events.
7:25 p.m. EST – THE PRESIDENT departs New Castle, Delaware en route the White House
8:20 p.m. EST – THE PRESIDENT arrives at the White House
On Sunday, the President will travel to El Paso, Texas, to visit the crisis at the U.S. Southwest Border. The President will travel to Mexico on Monday for the North American Leaders’ Summit. The President will host the Japanese Prime Minister on January 13 at the White House.
VPOTUS’ Schedule*
The Vice President will be in Washington, D.C., for the weekend and has no public events scheduled.
