SEC Reopens Comment Periods Due to Technical Glitch

SEC Reopens Comment Periods Due to Technical Glitch
Monday, October 24, 2022

The SEC recently announced that it is reopening comment periods on 11 rule proposals and one request for comment, including proposals related to SPAC projections, climate change disclosure, and cybersecurity. The reopening is due to a technical glitch that affected comments that were submitted online, resulting in some comments not being received by the SEC. The comment periods have been reopened until 14 days following publication of the reopening release in the Federal Register, which occurred on October 18, 2022.

If you submitted a public comment to one of the impacted proposals between June 2021 and August 2022, you should check the comment file on SEC.gov to determine whether your comment was received and posted. If not, you should take appropriate steps to resubmit your comment. New comments are also permitted.
