As I reported earlier today, the Florida Mini-TCPA is going to live on for another year. The Sunshine State just couldn’t get it together to amend the statute to make sense. So we’re stuck with it. Unconstitutional mess though it is.
Well, the folks in Oklahoma are running at breakneck speed to copy Florida. Just today a bill that is nearly identical to the FTSA passed the Oklahoma House.
Eesh.
Final score? A depressing 91-1 in favor of the bill. (Kudos to the lone holdout–whoever you are.)
Let’s hope that the OK Senate has a bit more common sense. But its not looking good folks.
Manufacturers and users of human selection systems must be feeling pretty good right about now. Everyone else, not so much.
